The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Amenfi East, Hon. Raymond Nana Ebbah, has commended residents of Wassa Japa for their impressive turnout and active participation in a massive clean-up exercise aimed at promoting environmental sanitation and public health.

 

The exercise brought together residents, traders, youth groups, and Assembly officials who worked collectively to clean streets, desilt gutters, and clear refuse from market centers and public spaces.

In his remarks, Hon. Ebbah applauded the unity and enthusiasm shown by the community, describing it as a sign of growing civic responsibility.

 

> “Cleanliness is a shared duty, and I’m delighted to see the people of Japa leading by example,” he said. “A clean environment attracts development, ensures good health, and strengthens community pride. The Assembly will continue to support such activities across Amenfi East.”

As part of the event, the Gold Buyers Association of Wassa Japa supported the clean-up exercise with 50 packs of bottled water to refresh participants. Speaking on behalf of the association, Hon.
