Gomoa Denkyire Chief Appeals for Government Support on Social Amenities

Nana Ayew Kwandam, Chief of Gomoa Denkyire and Tufuhene of the Gomoa Assin Traditional Council, has made a passionate appeal to the Government to intervene and provide critical social amenities needed in the community.

Speaking during a community engagement, Nana Ayew Kwandam expressed deep concern about the challenges facing residents of Gomoa Denkyire, noting that the lack of basic infrastructure continues to hinder development and the well-being of the people.

According to him, the absence of a standard school, coupled with poor road networks, has made life extremely difficult for parents, schoolchildren, farmers, traders, and commuters who rely on safe and accessible routes for their daily activities.

He further highlighted the community’s struggle with inadequate access to potable water, forcing households to depend on unsafe sources that pose health risks. The chief emphasized that providing clean water is not just a necessity but a matter of public health and community dignity.

In addition, Nana Ayew Kwandam appealed for employment opportunities for the youth, stressing that job creation would help curb social vices, reduce migration, and empower young people to contribute meaningfully to local development.

He called on government agencies, development partners, and benevolent organizations to collaborate with the community to address these pressing needs.

Nana Ayew Kwandam assured that the traditional council and residents are ready to support any developmental project initiated in the area, reaffirming their commitment to working with stakeholders for the progress of Gomoa Denkyire.
