A significant step has been taken toward boosting tertiary education in the Wassa Amenfi East Municipality as the construction of the much-awaited Wassa Amenfi East Teacher Training College officially begins. The project, located at Wassa Akropong, has moved into full gear following the successful handover of building drawings and site plans to the contractors.

In a short ceremony on site, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Hon. Raymond Anane-Eba (Obia Bidi), together with Nananom of Wassa Akropong, formally welcomed the consultant and three different contractors selected to execute the project. The decision to engage multiple contractors is a deliberate strategy aimed at achieving rapid progress through simultaneous construction work.
Site Inspection and Official Handover
The MCE, Nananom, the consultant, and assembly officials undertook an extensive inspection of the designated land before handing over the full set of architectural drawings and structural details to the contractors. This signals the official commencement of phase one of the project.
