Hon. Raymond Nana Ebbah Brightens Wassa Akropong Ahead of Adim Festival
As part of efforts to enhance security and beautify the environment ahead of the upcoming Adim Festival, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Amenfi East, Hon. Raymond Nana Ebbah, has commenced the installation of new streetlights across Wassa Akropong.
The initiative, described by many as “placing light where darkness once ruled,” is bringing renewed brightness and excitement to the municipal capital. The MCE explained that the lighting project is part of his broader development agenda to make Wassa Akropong a safer and more welcoming town, especially during festive seasons when visitors troop in to celebrate with the people.
> “As we approach the Adim Festival, it’s important that our town reflects the spirit of progress and unity. Light brings life, safety, and joy to the community, and that is exactly what we are working to achieve,”
— Hon. Raymond Nana Ebbah, MCE for Amenfi East.
Residents of Wassa Akropong have expressed appreciation to the MCE for his timely intervention. Many said the streetlights will not only beautify the town but also help reduce criminal activities and accidents at night.
> “The new lights have made our streets safer and more beautiful. We thank Hon. Ebbah for thinking about us and making sure Wassa Akropong shines before the festival,”
— a resident shared.
The Adim Festival, celebrated annually by the people of Wassa Akropong, brings together natives from all walks of life to celebrate their rich culture, unity, and achievements. With the ongoing lighting project, preparations for this year’s celebration are set to be brighter than ever.
Hon. Ebbah reaffirmed his commitment to ensuring that Amenfi East continues to witness visible transformation across all sectors — from roads and education to sanitation and energy.
> “This is just one of many steps to make Amenfi East a model municipality. We are committed to developing every corner — because everyone deserves to see progress,”
he added.
