Media Appeals to President Mahama and Wassa Amenfi Traditional Council Over Abandoned Cassava Factory

Daily Update News GH, Tikese3News.com, and Tikese3 TV have appealed to President John Dramani Mahama and the Wassa Amenfi Traditional Council to intervene and restore the abandoned 1D1F cassava processing factory in Wassa Amenfi East.

A visit to the site today revealed a deteriorating factory, with rusting machines, damaged vehicles, weakened structures, and a heavily bushed compound. The factory, which was meant to boost cassava processing and create employment for farmers and youth, has remained unattended for years.

Speaking on the state of the factory, the media noted:

> “Having visited the site today, we are deeply concerned about the condition of this abandoned cassava processing factory. We appeal to President Mahama and the Wassa Amenfi Traditional Council to take urgent steps to revive it for the benefit of the community.”

The media emphasized that with proper attention, funding, and supervision, the cassava factory can still fulfill its purpose — creating jobs, supporting farmers, and driving industrial growth in Wassa Amenfi East.
