OBAATANPA Feed the Schools and Communities Initiative Donates 3,000 Crates of Eggs to Schools and Institutions in Amenfi East

In a remarkable display of compassion and community service, the OBAATANPA Feed the Schools and Communities Initiative, led by Madam Angela Ahimah, has made a generous donation of 3,000 crates of eggs to selected schools and institutions within the Amenfi East Municipality.

The beneficiaries include 64 basic schools under the School Feeding Programme, Amenfiman Senior High School, and the Wassa Akropong Government Hospital.

The donation forms part of Madam Ahimah’s broader vision to ensure that school children and patients in health facilities receive nutritionally balanced meals to enhance learning, growth, and recovery.

Speaking during the presentation, Madam Angela Ahimah, the founder and leader of the initiative, said the gesture was inspired by her desire to give back to society and to complement the government’s efforts in improving education and healthcare delivery.

> “As a mother and a strong believer in community development, I believe no child should go to school hungry, and no patient should lack proper nutrition during recovery. This donation is part of our mission to nurture healthy, strong, and focused children,” she stated.

She added that the initiative, launched under the theme “Feeding Hope, Nurturing Dreams,” aims to support deprived schools and communities through periodic food donations, nutrition education, and empowerment programs for women engaged in food production.

The Headmaster of Amenfiman Senior High School, Mr. Akwasi Mickson, expressed heartfelt gratitude to Madam Ahimah and her team for their thoughtful gesture.

> “We are deeply grateful for this support. The donation will go a long way to improve the nutritional needs of our students, especially those in the boarding house. Madam Angela’s kindness is a clear example of true leadership and community care,” he said.

The Municipal School Feeding Coordinator, Mr. Francis, also commended Madam Ahimah for her continuous partnership with the School Feeding Programme.

> “We appreciate this generous contribution. The eggs will help provide balanced meals for the children, ensuring that they are healthy and ready to learn. We look forward to more of such collaborations,” he noted.

Officials from the Amenfi East Municipal Education Directorate and the Municipal Health Directorate joined in thanking the OBAATANPA Initiative for its consistency in supporting schools and institutions across the municipality.

Several headteachers and pupils present at the event also expressed joy and appreciation, describing the donation as timely and impactful.

The OBAATANPA Feed the Schools and Communities Initiative has over the past months supported numerous schools and communities in Amenfi East with food items, learning materials, and health outreach programs — reaffirming its strong commitment to social welfare and community development.
