Kwabena Affull , a passionate member of the Dei Health NDC party, has stood before the Ghana Gold Board, his voice filled with conviction. “Ladies and gentlemen, honorable members of the board, I come before you today as a representative of our party and the people of Ghana. We believe that the current state of our gold industry, particularly the fluctuating prices, is detrimental to the livelihoods of our citizens.”
Kwabena Affull continued, “We urge you to consider regulating the gold price to a stable 1000 cedis per ounce.
He added that, if this is not done, it’s going to affect the NDC party in next election.
This would provide a predictable income for our small-scale miners, many of whom are struggling to make ends meet. It would also boost the economy, as miners would be more confident in investing in their operations.”
He emphasized, “The Dei Health NDC party is committed to supporting policies that benefit the Ghanaian people. By stabilizing the gold price, we can ensure that the wealth generated from our natural resources is shared more equitably among all citizens.”
The board members listened attentively, aware of the potential implications of such a policy change. After careful consideration, they would need to weigh the pros and cons of regulating the gold price and its potential impact on the industry and the broader economy.
