Outrage as Family Slams Twifo Praso Police CID Over ‘Opaque’ Investigation

Family members have expressed deep indignation toward the Twifo Praso Police Criminal Investigations Department (CID), particularly investigator Paul Quaye, over what they describe as a biased and opaque handling of the case involving 80-year-old Prophetess Esther Bolu, who was allegedly buried in her own bedroom for more than two weeks by her husband, Kweku Charles.

Speaking on behalf of the bereaved family, Rev. Solomon Awuakyire, son of the deceased prophetess, stated that they are bewildered by the actions of the CID. He revealed that the family was peremptorily dismissed from the investigator’s office at the very moment they sought clarification on why the accused, Kweku Charles, was permitted to break the padlock of the building where he had concealed the body of the prophetess.

Rev. Awuakyire lamented that the conduct of CID Paul Quaye suggests a deliberate attempt to exclude the family from the investigative process and raises serious doubts about the transparency of the proceedings He emphasized that such behaviour erodes public confidence and fuels suspicion of impropriety.

Consequently, the family is appealing to higher authorities to intervene and ensure that the CID conducts a thorough, impartial, and transparent investigation and takes all necessary steps to deliver justice in the case.
