*Patrick Appiah Mensah Declares New Era for Bogoso-Prestea Mine*
The Managing Director of Heath Goldfields *, Patrick Appiah Mensah,* has announced a “new era” for the historic Bogoso-Prestea Mine following its first gold pour after 24 months of complete operational shutdown.

*Mr. Mensah* made this declaration during a media engagement held at the company’s site, where he described the successful gold pour as a major turning point for the mine. According to him, the Bogoso-Prestea Mine is “no longer a story of decline,” but a symbol of resilience and revival.
The mine, located in Ghana’s Western Region, had been inactive for two years due to operational and financial challenges, leading to job losses and economic difficulties within host communities. The prolonged shutdown created uncertainty about the future of one of the country’s oldest mining operations.

Addressing journalists at the site, *Mr. Mensah* explained that the restart followed extensive restructuring, technical assessments, and strategic investments aimed at restoring safe and sustainable operations.
He stressed that the company remains committed to operational efficiency, environmental responsibility, and strong community relations.
He further assured stakeholders that Heath Goldfields will prioritize local employment and community development as production gradually scales up.

The first gold pour not only marks the resumption of operations but also signals renewed hope for workers, contractors, and residents who depend on the mine for their livelihoods.
Management believes the milestone sets the stage for a stable and productive future for the Bogoso-Prestea Mine and the broader mining sector in the region.
