Amenfi Central Miners Cry for Mercy and Intervention

The miners of Amenfi Central are passionately appealing to the Hon. Minister for Lands and Natural Resources to please have mercy on them and intervene in the ongoing situation affecting their livelihoods.

According to the miners, for the past three days, soldiers deployed to the area have not allowed them to sleep or work peacefully. They claim many mining machines and valuable properties have been destroyed and burnt, leading to huge financial losses for hardworking people who are only trying to survive and support their families.

The miners further stated that they sacrificed and worked tirelessly to support the development and progress of the constituency, and therefore deserve understanding, fairness, and dialogue instead of destruction and intimidation.

They are pleading with the government and all relevant authorities to step in immediately, restore peace, and create a peaceful environment for lawful activities in Amenfi Central.
