The Chairperson of the National Commission for Civic Education in the Asante Akyem North Municipal who doubles as the chief linguist for Agogo traditional area, Nana Kwabena Owusu Ansah Sasraku Aduomi has urged Ghana’s youth not to be swayed by politicians who might seek to exploit them for violent activities in the lead-up to the December 7 general elections.
Nana Ansah highlighted the need for peace and responsible citizenship, encouraging young Ghanaians to play constructive roles in the upcoming electoral process.
Speaking to Akua Sakyiwaa Munumkum of salt FM after an NCCE gathering at the Agogo central auditorium of the Church of Pentecost dubbed “all the three aspiring parliamentary candidates should portray their views for the constituency to be voted for, Nana Ansah Sasraku provided an overview of the NCCE’s initiatives aimed at preventing election-related violence and fostering an atmosphere of calm.
According to Nana Kwabena Owusu Ansah Sasraku Aduomi, the Commission has increased its outreach efforts, particularly focusing on youth groups that are vulnerable to political influence due to economic or social pressures.
