Residents of Twifo Praso woke up to tragic news this morning after a man believed to be in his early fifties was discovered dead at the GPRTU station in the Twifo Atti-Morkwa District.
According to eyewitness accounts, the deceased arrived at the Twifo Praso GPRTU station on a commercial vehicle from Accra. After alighting, he reportedly told bystanders and station workers that he was waiting for his son to pick him up and escort him home. He remained at the lorry terminal into the evening.
Unfortunately, the man was found lifeless this morning at the back of the Twifo Praso GPRTU building.
As of now, the identity of the deceased has not been publicly released, and the exact cause of death remains unknown.
Police say they are working to trace his family and establish the circumstances surrounding his death.
