The case broke open after Ivorian investor Mousa Bamba filed a complaint stating he had been lured to Dzorwulu in Accra under the pretence of purchasing six kilograms of gold valued at $450,000.

All three police personnel have been interdicted pending investigation.

The syndicate has been linked to additional r,obberies in Tema, Anyinam, Kumasi, and Takoradi, with victims relieved of cash, gold, and mercury across the incidents.
