The Breast Cancer Awareness Float, organized in collaboration with Hon. Nicholas Amankwah, Member of Parliament for Wassa Amenfi East, and the Wassa Akropong Government Hospital, was a huge success. The event brought together health professionals, students, market women, and community leaders to raise awareness and promote early detection of breast cancer.

Held under the theme “Catch it Early, Treat it Right, Survive it,” the campaign featured on-the-spot screenings and educational sessions on prevention and self-examination.

The Pink October Campaign continues tomorrow and Tuesday at the Apostolic and Roman Catholic church, and on Thursday at the Pentecost Church.

Hon. Amankwah emphasized the importance of early detection and regular check-ups, encouraging all residents to take advantage of the ongoing screenings.
“Breast cancer is curable when detected early. Let’s all join the fight and protect the lives of our mothers, sisters, and daughters,” he said.

Organizers urged the public to continue spreading the message—early detection saves lives. Get screened today!
